Group ideational creativity developed in brainstorming sessions has been considered more effective than the sum of ideational activities of an equal number of individuals. However most experimental comparisons have shown the contrary.
Computer support of group ideational creativity produces better results since 1) paralel input reduces production blocking, and 2) anonymity favours wild idea externalization.
Web tecnologies permit diferent place, diferent time groups to participate in online brainstorming session, however some rules are necessary to engage participants in online session.

Recently a new generation of Web tecnologies (Web 2.0) have being developed and put into use. These technologies have some unique characteristics that should be applied for group ideational creativity:
  1. Web 2.0 tecnologies as wikis store user-generated content along with its creation time and previously visited and modified content, stablishing a backtrace for content generation which might be used to regenerate the ideational process and to stablished connections among ideas.
  2. Besides Web 2.0 tecnologies permit to connect content creators to other content creators and to content visitors implicitly and explicitly, forming social networks that can result in new groups and teams being formed.

We are exploring:
  1. how web2.0 tecnologies can be adapted to facilitate brainstorming session using a number of techniques, such as SCAMPER.
  2. how to best visualized multiple ideas generated in a brainstorming session.
  3. how to conect participants in dyads or groups to set up teams.
  4. how to facilitate the creation of brainstorming session with a variety of group sizes and objetives.
